Lima Limo was founded in 2016 out of a need to create a safe and supportive stable from which to release and nurture music emanating from a close knit community. The launch of the imprint was marked by the release of Hejira’s Lima Limo Ceremony EP, which featured the band’s clarion call for independence ‘I Don’t Belong To Anyone’. Lima Limo has since gone on to provide a loving home for a diverse collection of artists including The Vernon Spring, Ideophone, Gwilym Gold, Tawiah and Loa. At a time when an increasing number of music makers are finding themselves isolated, often needing to self-release without any structural support, Lima Limo feel it is essential to cultivate community through friendship, music making and events.
